Job Description:
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales, managing rental operations, and ensuring exceptional customer experience. This role combines inside sales activities with rental coordination, including proactive outreach to new and dormant accounts, supporting outside sales reps, and conducting customer site visits. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong potential for advancement to a Territory Manager (Outside Sales) role.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Customer Engagement
- Handle inbound calls, emails, and walk-in customers for sales and rental inquiries.
- Present and recommend equipment solutions, provide accurate quotes, and educate customers on product capabilities and usage.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize revenue.
Outbound Sales
- Conduct cold calls to prospective new business and dormant accounts to generate interest and uncover opportunities.
- Re-engage inactive customers to revive relationships and drive new rental or sales activity.
- Set up meetings and appointments for outside sales representatives with qualified leads and existing customers.
- Visit customer locations as needed to assess need.
Rental Coordination
- Schedule and coordinate equipment deliveries and pick-ups.
- Assist with rental follow-ups and support, ensuring smooth transactions and customer satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues promptly and professionally.
Operational Support
- Collaborate with sales, service, and operations teams to meet customer.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and Microsoft Office.
- Contribute meaningfully to business operations and growth.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- 1–3 years of experience in inside sales, customer service or sales related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to make cold calls and conduct customer site visits.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a workstation (typically 6–8 hours per day).
- Frequent use of a computer keyboard, mouse, and multiple
- Ability to lift, carry, or move light objects up to approximately 10–20 pounds (such as product samples, marketing materials, small boxes, or office supplies).
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay: $48,000 – $55,000
