Are you ready for the new ANSI standards? If you are an employer, owner or operator of a company that uses a lift or telehandler, you have until December 10, 2019 to take a training class and earn a certification on the new standards.

OHR Rents offers JLG-certified operator training for Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) and telehandlers. Trainer Rich Gardner can train you on both JLG and non-JLG equipment at OHR Rents’ rental yard.

Call or email today to get telehandler, boom lift and scissor lift training that meets all published OSHA and ANSI specifications, so you can meet the December 10 deadline.

  • Up to 10 people per class.
  • MEWP classes cover boom lifts or scissor lift certification, or both.
  • MEWP training on boom lifts and scissor lifts have the same classroom training, but they each have their own hands-on inspection, exercise, and evaluation.
  • Class 7 Rough Terrain Forklift Truck certification for telehandlers is also available but it has separate in-class material, exercise, and evaluation.

Want to remain compliant? Get training before December 10, 2019.

How are MEWPs classified?

Group A: MEWPs with platforms that move vertically but stay inside their tipping lines (like scissor lifts)

Group B: All other MEWPs, typically boom-type MEWPs where the platform extends past the machine’s chassis.

Type 1: Can only be driven in the stowed position (Man lifts)

Type 2: Can be driven elevated but is controlled from the chassis

Type 3: Can be driven elevated but is controlled from the work platform (Boom, Scissor lifts)
